ANSWERED Regular reconnections on iPhone

I’ve setup AirVPN on my iPhone and I’ve noticed that when the iPhone is locked it keeps opening vpn sessions regularly.

The pattern is the following: every ~10 minutes the iPhone starts a session, it lasts about 15 seconds and then the session is ended.

 

Is this kind of behavior can be troublesome for the AirVPN servers and/or the iPhone (battery life)?

AirVPN servers likely won't have a problem and are quite likely handling this many connections already, however, the behaviour is keeping your phone awake and will probably have adverse effects on your battery.

Ok, thanks. For now, I don't notice a major impact on battery.
