Client hangs at 'Starting'

This morning the client connected and worked fine for me but it now hangs at 'Staring', the point where it tries updating the server information. I've tried uninstall and reinstalling but was unable to remove TAP when I did. The only thing I've done since this morning is clear some temporary files with CCleaner which doesn't have AirVPN or OpenVPN in its list of applications to clean files from. I'm running version 2.8.8. Any ideas?
