Hi,

I don't know if this is a problem.

I am in Canada.

I set the vpn IP of my tomato router for Persei in Fremont, California. My AirVPN staus shows that I am indeed connected to Persei.

However, when checking my IP with whatsmyip.org, or checking speed with speedtest.net, it shows the IP address as having been incremented by one, from .162 to .163, and shows that I am connecting from Amsterdam, Holland. What is happening here? Is this a concern? Thanks.

Well Persei is on Swiftway, and they only use RIPE IP's even in the US locations so that's the reason you see NL as the country.

It's quite an issue in case of Maxmind, they don't like to change countries and IPs from different RIRs unless you ask them directly.

94.100.0.0/16 is RIPE Europe, so that's the issue, and in order to get the US flag they need to be from ARIN.

Air promises to deliver the VPN servers -physically- in those countries/cities, and afaik they do their best to keep the geolocation IPs in shape,

but they can't really do nothing with cases like this.

The server is physically in Fremont anyway:

Why don't you connect to Heze? It's in the same datacenter but with US geolocated IPs, both entry and exit...
