Raumz 1 Posted ... I'm running windows 7 on a 64 bit system. Every 2 or 3 minutes it's like I disconnect from the VPN for some time. The displayed download speed stays at 0, I can't connect to web pages or torrents. The displayed uploads goes up to 30+ mbps even though my computer shows no outgoing traffic. Eventually it connects again. During this the logs show nothing other than normal operation. I've tried restarting, reinstalling the VPN client even a fresh install of windows doesn't work. So I'm wondering if it maybe a problem with my router, it's a linksys WRT54GS. I don't know where to start trouble shooting this. Can someone point me in the right direction? 1 CASTLEGATES reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
iwih2gk 97 Posted ... I don't know if you tried this yet, but are you in a position where you can hardwire via ethernet to a slot on the router? Even better would be to plug directly into the modem if its cable. Wireless can be fickle so start there. Quote Share this post Link to post

Can't plug directly into the modem though as other people use the router. Quote Share this post Link to post

CASTLEGATES 0 Posted ... Same here. We had terrible service with spikes and torrents coming in, going out so badly, i haven't done it in a while. Today and the past couple days, nothing. I can't connect to any server. All I do is torrent but I can't understand the instructions, so I'm using AirVPN for everything (although I understand I don't have to, there are just no simple A B C instructions out there). I'm sort of adept at computers, but most articles here assume I know about this part of computers (connections, ports, etc), which I dont. Quote Share this post Link to post
Raumz 1 Posted ... I tried connecting my computer directly to the modem and the problem still continues. Quote Share this post Link to post

Staff 10333 Posted ... Unfortunately it's not possible for anyone to provide you with proper help. At least, logs taken after the problems occurred are strictly necessary. Since you all have in common Windows usage, first of all do the following, and then let's start over troubleshooting with logs and relevant information on your systems. Also we must underline that your description of the problems is confused, contradictory and seems to be mixing different, overlapping problems. make sure that your network interface driver as well as your router firmware are up to dateupgrade to Eddie 2.11.3 beta, which will automatically upgrade tun/tap driver to version 9.21.2 (older versions can cause various problems, including those which you describe)make sure that you do not run any third party network managermake sure that you do not run antimalware tools, "security suites" and all that jazz (disable them momentarily for your tests)Note: release of Eddie 2.11.4 beta is imminent: upgrade to Eddie 2.11.4 when available. sfasdfs 0 Posted ... I had the same issue with the stable. Depending on "which WIFI I'm on" it all works or I get the 30+ Mbit/sec upload issue where the clients seems to be connected (displaying the high upload and 0 download) and no actual data seems to be transferred. After updating AirVPN to the latest beta the issue is "fixed" because the upload now shows it's going at 270+ Mbit/sec (still no connection though, so it's not really actually fixed). When disabling the VPN the internet connection works fine and is stable (except all the blocked websites because: totalitarianism).
