Using AirVPN for a specific application possible?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I would like to know whether it is possible to restrict AirVPN to a single specific application (such as uTorrent) while keeping your original connection for other things (such as gaming).

Spontaneous suggestion: a virtual machine.

You could create a Windows VM via VirtualBox for example. Then you install an OpenVPN client and uTorrent there. Or anything you'd like to separate from your original internet connection.

If you would like to access your downloaded files from within the host system just let uTorrent download into a shared directory.

If you plan on using a VM, I wouldn't use a windows as it will chew up more resources than necessary.

Use a lean linux distro and your torrent client of choice. I personally use Tixati and highly recommend it.

An even better and more efficient approach would be to use Ubuntu server and something like Transmission with a web GUI.

Doesn't really matter. My PC can handle a VM and DotA at the same time.
