markturner 1 Posted ... Hi guys, I'm currently on a trial and having problems establishing and maintaining a connection. I'm trying to set it up on a Synology diskstation server, and have followed the instructions on the Synology thread in the general forum, but get this error in the log when trying to connect: Sat Jun 21 15:49:55 2014 Outgoing Control Channel Authentication: Using 160 bit message hash 'SHA1' for HMAC authentication Sat Jun 21 15:49:55 2014 Incoming Control Channel Authentication: Using 160 bit message hash 'SHA1' for HMAC authentication Sat Jun 21 15:49:55 2014 LZO compression initialized Sat Jun 21 15:49:55 2014 Control Channel MTU parms [ L:1558 D:166 EF:66 EB:0 ET:0 EL:0 ] Sat Jun 21 15:49:55 2014 Socket Buffers: R=[114688->131072] S=[114688->131072] Sat Jun 21 15:49:55 2014 Data Channel MTU parms [ L:1558 D:1450 EF:58 EB:135 ET:0 EL:0 AF:3/1 ] Sat Jun 21 15:49:55 2014 Local Options hash (VER=V4): '9e7066d2' Sat Jun 21 15:49:55 2014 Expected Remote Options hash (VER=V4): '162b04de' Sat Jun 21 15:49:56 2014 UDPv4 link local: [undef] Sat Jun 21 15:49:56 2014 UDPv4 link remote: 37.48.81.9:53 Sat Jun 21 15:50:57 2014 TLS Error: TLS key negotiation failed to occur within 60 seconds (check your network connectivity) Sat Jun 21 15:50:57 2014 SYNO_ERR_CERT Sat Jun 21 15:50:57 2014 TLS Error: TLS handshake failed Sat Jun 21 15:50:57 2014 TCP/UDP: Closing socket I have also tried using tunnelblick to connect using my mac and that seems to have the same problem. I have tried using TCP instead of UDP and that does connect briefly before disconnecting. Could it be my ISP blocking the ports or something? They have a firewall on their side but I have checked it and it's turned off. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be very grateful, I really won't be able to buy a proper subscription once my trial has ended without having these issues resolved really. Many thanks!
