Latency problems in games

I've been experiencing lag spike issues every ~7-10 seconds in games which use UDP (Diablo II, amongst others like TF2)

 

When i ping a server, such as www.google.ca I tend to experience 60ms but about every 10 seconds it jumps up to unresonable levels (600-700+), Any advice?

 

I'm connected to a reasonably close server, and using UDP 443 openvpn on ubuntu 14.04

  Hello bluezone,

I suggestion you could try a different ports or do you need port 443 for Gaming?

Also try a different server.
