amnesty 18 Posted ... So I'm checking System Logs on a Windows 7 machine and see a warning, Source: DNS Client Events. It says, "Name resolution for the name dns.msftncsi.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded". I get this message because the machine is not leaking when the tunnel is disconnected. I'm thinking, hmmm, msft that rings a bell. I didn't access anything that would query msftncsi.com. So I do a seach for it and came accross this explaination: http://blog.superuser.com/2011/05/16/windows-7-network-awareness/ A comment at the end of the discussion questions how Android can detect that “wifi needs authorization” when you connect to a public wifi. I don't have a Droid so I wouldn't know anything about this. I can determine my own connectivity so I just set the value for EnableActiveProbing to 0 3 Staff, Stevieoo and OpenSourcerer reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
