Questions about port forwarding

Hello, I will try to be as clear as possible:

 

In this link https://airvpn.org/faq/#p2p at last paragraph you say that " do NOT forward on your router the same ports you use on your Bittorrent or eMule client (or any other listening service) while connected to the VPN".

 

Usually (when i'm not connect with vpn),  in my system the port i use on my utorrent is the same that i forwarded on my router.

 

if I do not do this, utorrent does not works; i checked, in my client area the forwarding port test and it's ok.

 

So, can you try to explain me what really i have to do?

 

At this moment VPN-Utorrent-My router= same port (firewall windows is working..)

Hello!

 

You just need to:

 

- remotely forward a port from your control panel (do not remap it to a different local port)

- set that port in your torrent client

- make sure you do not forward that port on your router (exception: if OpenVPN runs in the router itself)

first of all, thank you i really appreciate your reply, but:

- make sure you do not forward that port on your router (exception: if OpenVPN runs in the router itself): OpenVPN does not run on my router, in this case i forward that port on my router as it now?

I forgot to tell you that i'm using access with AIRVPN client
