Virtualbox Airvpn on OSX

I'm kinda noob on this.

 

My setup: Mac OSX + NAT Virtualbox (Debian)

 

I wanna be able to use a torrent client and surf the net with Debian while I'm using other stuff on OSX (like home banking or yahoo mail).

 

1) Active Premium account

2) Download files from config generator

3) Install OpenVPN on Debian (Virtualbox)

4) Prevent DNS Leaks following this guide https://airvpn.org/topic/5586-prevent-leaks-with-linux-firestarter-also-stop-traffic-when-vpn-drops/

5) Config OpenVPN with config files???

6) Check on dnsleaktest.com and ipleaks.net

7) Open port X on Airvpn personal profile

8) Set the port X on torrent client

 

Does it work like this? Do I have to unlock ports on OSX or maybe the router?

Hello!

 

Your setup list appears to be correct. Step 4 appears superfluous as Linux does not suffer DNS leaks (please see also the How-To guide https://airvpn.org/topic/9608-how-to-accept-dns-push-on-linux-systems-with-resolvconf ).

1) So why he did it? Was an old issue?

 

2) Moreover, except for ubuntu (I dont like last spyware policy), which distro do you suggest (best with airvpn)?
