steam, ping

Hi

 

my reason for using airvpn is that I use the internet behind a sophos router firewall (I think its UTM) which blocks most ports, so I am not able to play on steam. 

 

Airvpn does not work on the UDP ports for me. I tried UDP 53, 80, 443 and 2018. Is there anything else I could try to make UDP ports working?

 

TCP 443 works for me though. So my main concern when playing online games is to minimize my ping, so obviously I should choose the server with the lowest ping to me, but is there any way to tell what ping the different servers have to the steam US east servers? What else could I try to improve my ping?
